Straight From The Source

My name is Zarreen Glenn. I am a current graduate student at Full Sail University. I am completing my Master’s degree in New media Journalism. I am very excited to see where it takes me. 

In 2016, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication at Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina. Shortly after graduating, I went back to work at my local hospital in Greenville, SC. I was not able to get a job in media journalism. Therefore it was more difficult to find a position in my career field. I started doing things at my own pace. I found enjoyment in. video blogging, blogging and video editing. I hope to work on television as a news presenter and for the entertainment industry.

In Greenville South Carolina I have covered various local events such as the annual Special Olympics, the Innovation of Donaldson Center and the updates on local communities. Starting in the community that I grew up in is a great stepping stone for my career. I’m using every story to educate and uplift my community. 

In the future I want to be a news anchor and television personality. I want to be able to use my skillset on television and radio. I started my own podcast called Life Essentials. By creating my own podcast it has helped me to get a familiar idea of what is expected of me for the future. 

On my website I have posted the stories I covered and the articles I wrote. I originally created the website as a do it yourself website for dinner recipes. The focus has shifted 

greatly to local stories that have interest me and my peers. My target audience for my website are people between the ages of 15-50. I have various topics that I cover so my audience can be very broad.
